About Terraforming Mars scoring

Terraforming Mars (Jacob Fryxelius, FryxGames, 2016) ends in the generation when oxygen, temperature and the oceans have all reached their limits. Scoring starts from each player’s terraform rating, which has been tracked all game, and adds everything else on top: 5 points for each funded award won (2 for second place), 5 points for each claimed milestone, 1 point per greenery tile, 1 point per greenery tile next to each of your cities, and the victory points printed on the cards you played, including resources placed on them.

Cities are the step people miss: a city scores nothing by itself, only its adjacent greeneries count, and a greenery can score for several cities at once. The app keeps the rows of the official score pad so the count is done once, tile by tile, instead of being argued at the end.

When players tie, the one with the most mega credits wins; the app asks for them only in that case.
