About Everdell scoring

Everdell (James A. Wilson, Starling Games, 2018) is scored once every player has passed in autumn. Each city is counted in five parts: the base points printed on every critter and construction card, the point tokens collected during the game, the bonus points of the purple Prosperity cards (each one scores a condition of its own, so they are counted separately from their base value), the points of the basic and special events achieved, and the journey spaces visited in autumn, worth 2 to 5 points each.

Prosperity cards are where hand counts drift: a card such as the Architect or the Castle has a printed base value and an extra end-of-game condition, and both score. The app’s sheet keeps the two apart, as the official score pad does.

Ties go to the player who achieved more events, and then to the one with more resources left over. The app asks for those counts only when a tie happens.

How Everdell is scored

Scored once at the end of the game.

The rows below are the app's Everdell sheet, in the order of the game's score pad. "You enter" is the row's own explanation in the app; "Points" is what the app does with the entry.

  1. Card Points

You enter: Total base point values printed on all Critter and Construction cards in your city.

    Points as entered.

  2. Point Tokens

You enter: All point tokens you collected during the game.

    Points as entered.

  3. Prosperity Cards

You enter: Additional bonus points earned from purple Prosperity cards based on their end-of-game scoring conditions.

    Points as entered.

  4. Events

You enter: Total points from all achieved Basic Events and Special Events.

    Points as entered.

  5. Journey

You enter: Points from workers sent on journeys during autumn. Each journey location is worth 2, 3, 4, or 5 points.

    Points as entered.

  6. Events Count (not points)

You enter: Number of events you achieved (not the points they scored).

Points: Not added to the total; breaks ties only.

  7. Leftover Resources

You enter: Total number of resources left in your supply at the end of the game.

Points: Not added to the total; breaks ties only.

Tiebreaker

If totals are equal, the player with the higher Events Count (not points) wins, then the higher Leftover Resources. The app asks for a tiebreaker row only when a tie actually happens.
