About Dominion scoring
Dominion (Donald X. Vaccarino, Rio Grande Games, 2008, Spiel des Jahres 2009) is scored once, when the game ends. Each player gathers all their cards, from hand, deck, discard pile and play area, and counts the victory points on them. An Estate is worth 1, a Duchy 3 and a Province 6. Gardens, a Kingdom card, is worth 1 per 10 cards you have, rounded down: 37 cards make each Gardens worth 3. Each Curse is worth −1.
The game ends at the end of a turn if the Province pile is empty or any three Supply piles are empty. With 5 or 6 players, it takes four empty piles. Any Supply pile counts, not only the Kingdom piles: an empty Curse or Copper pile is one of them.
If players tie, the one who had fewer turns wins; if they also had the same number of turns, they share the victory. The app asks for the number of turns only when players are level.
The box has no score pad, so the sheet takes each player’s counted total in one row. The 2016 second edition replaced some Kingdom cards but scores and ends the same way, so the sheet fits both editions.
How Dominion is scored
Scored once at the end of the game.
The rows below are the app's Dominion sheet, in the order of the game's score pad. "You enter" is the row's own explanation in the app; "Points" is what the app does with the entry.
Victory Points
You enter: Enter your final score: the victory points from all the cards in your deck, -1 for each Curse.
Points as entered.
Turns Taken
You enter: Enter how many turns you took. Players later in turn order than the one who ended the game took one turn fewer.
Points: Not added to the total; breaks ties only (lower wins).
Tiebreaker
If totals are equal, the player with the lower Turns Taken wins. The app asks for a tiebreaker row only when a tie actually happens.
